Infrastructure is defined as the ‘the basic systems and service… that [an] organisations use in order to work effectively.’(22) What, then, did The Institution (and by extension, CPP) want to effectively work? From this point in the analysis – if we assume that the infrastructure was operating exactly as it was intended – it would seem that the work was intended to be a cursory, surface-level engagement (due to The Institution’s lack of engagement/community relationships), and to ensure their artist was pretty miserable, mostly because – in four months of constantly being dumped and moved around – I had not been able to make any art. Was this the intention of the project? Or was there a flaw in the infrastructure?
